How they met: Shannon & Craig met volunteering with the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes program at United Township HS. Beyond reaching the youth, they realized that God had a purpose for each of them to be helping out with the FCA program—to meet each other! It just meant that they had to get beyond burgers, hot dogs, and brats and go straight for the steaks to get to where they are today—it's a fun story anyway: the short of it - Football games & FCA cookouts were always hot dogs and burgers. Despite the obvious difference (age) God knew what he was doing even when they weren't sure! Shannon & Craig spent many evenings walking along the Mississippi River just getting to know one another, and slowly became best friends. In February of 2006 it led to a proposal, which is another interesting story - (The short of it): Craig prepared an electronic slide show which was "massively" projected on to a building near the river walkway in sub-zero weather (with helpers of course). It was unique! You obviously know what Shannon's answer was! What you don't know is Shannon asked Craig what took him so long??? They still enjoy taking leisurely walks along the Mississippi River. Recently they've enjoyed some traveling together — Craig promises that this is just the beginning! They hope to enjoy many great years together, no matter what or where life takes them... Just as long as it's together! The wedding will be slightly "outside-of-the-box". Some traditional and some new, interesting to say the least! What d'ya expect it's Shannon & Craig, C'mon??? Here's some sunsets the've encountered during their walks... |
