Walnut Ridge Studio's History

Walnut Ridge Studio began back in 1987 as State-of-The-Art Graphics while Craig Pirmann (artist/Owner) was still working for Deere & Company as a publisher. Craig worked from his home doing mainly hand painted and drawn graphics, like mapping, technical illustration work, hand painted signs, and even some custom framing. In 1992 Craig left Deere to develop his own company and fulfill his destiny of being an independant artist and graphic designer.   The business flourished during the 90's with Craig's vast experience and education in graphics.

Many companies struggled with the new technologies of computers and Craig was right there to help get them through it. State-of-The-Art Graphics was able to bridge the old with the new and maintain sanity.   Craig had traveled from one end of this country to the other during the 80's doing research and development for Deere. He was able to get a glimpse of the future and he embraced what others fought. In doing so he built a reputation and quickly grew the company into the new millennium.   After 9/11 Craig decided to back off on the growth and offer the very thing set out to do originally when he left John Deere in 1992, offer quality graphics and artwork to his clients. While computers got easier to use State-of-The-Art Graphics high tech services weren't as necessary, so Craig got back to basics and renamed the company to: Walnut Ridge Studio, which is basically where his private art studio is located a top a 2 acre estate in Silvis which is home to over 30 walnut trees, hence the name.

Since that time Walnut Ridge has offered a very diverse graphic services agenda and less of the high tech angle. Anyone can operate a computer but the artistic side is rare. You can't buy talent, you either have it or you don't, Craig has it naturally. And, you can hire that talent at a fraction of what you'd pay an ad agency or employ your own artist/graphic designer.

Walnut Ridge (Craig) has trained many companies (John Deere, Boss Mnfng, Federal Governement and others) how to use software such as Corel, Adobe, Isodraw, and publishing. Why hire slow employees when you can have premium graphic services only when you need it.   Employees waste more time figuring things out and talking than they do getting the job done.   Here you get what you pay for and you save!
